Meteor Shower and Pink's

Went to the Angeles Mountains with Brian, Caroline, David, and Tri to catch the meteor shower. The meteor shower was suppose to be at it's peak around 12am and on to early morning, but we didn't really see anything too spectacular. Regardless, we had fun sitting in the wilderness watching the dashes of light that would ocassionally cross the night sky and going, "Ohhhhhhh, ooohh! There's one! Did ya see it?!" Hahaha.

After an hour of watching meteors we headed to Pink's Hotdogs where I had my worst experience. They literally ran out of everything, and I was basically forced to order 3 Martha Stewart dogs w/out the correct 10 inch sausage. Not to mention right after he finished preparing all 3 hot dogs he then decides to tell me that he ran out of bacon aswell. Wth? If I didn't say anything I think they would've charged me full price for 'em. Anyway, I took these portraits there.



Once again, Caroline is storytelling through interpretive dance.

Meet Tiger

This lively fellow down below lives over at my Grandmother's house. He's big and dumb, but all so cute and all so lovable. :3





P.S: Props to Ms. Caroline Ikeji for making me a new name stamp. I was nagging at her to make me a new one and she bent to my will. :o)

China Landmarks

Tourist attractions, yay!

One of the most noticeable skyscrapers in Hong Kong is the Bank of China. From what my uncle told me it is suppose to look like a butcher knife.


The Lippo Center. It's right next door to the Bank of China. "What's the Lippo Center?" you say? I really don't know, but I took a picture of it anyway. Hah! (Please excuse the lens flare)


The tour in Macao led us to St. Paul's ruin. According to wikipedia, it was carved by exiled Japanese Christians and was once the largest cathedral in Asia.


This statue of the Buddhist goddess, Kun Lam, stands in Macao. From what my tour guide told us because of Portuguese, she looks like like Lady of Guadalupe.


Can't go to Hong Kong without seeing the "Big Buddha." We had to climb 270 steps in 100F degree weather to reach it! Did I mention it was very humid? I hate Asia weather.

I <3 Hong Kong

Just not in the summer. It was so very hot and humid. Unfortunately Hong Kong skies are at its clearest in the summer.

I'll add more pictures of my trip to Hong Kong and China later.

Meet Vanity

Meet Vanity, a teacup chihuahua. We had a family meeting this evening regarding our trip overseas and it just so happened my cousin brought her new puppy along. Ain't she the sweetest little cutie-pie you have ever laid your eyes on? Don't let her apparence fool you though, just like her name, she's quite a diva/biotch.

Dim-Sum, WalMart, and Bubbles

Went out with the gang today for dim-sum. It was yumm-o! Caroline is always ranting on how dim-sum ladies with the silver carts would always ask her what she wanted to eat even though she's Japanese. And sure enough it happened today. I guess Asian races do look alike; even to other asians.

After having dim-sum we couldn't think of anything to do. So we just loitered for a bit.


Oh, no! Brian is billowing out smoke again.


I think somehow we came to the conclusion that we wanted to go to a WalMart. Woooo, fun! I never been there, so today was my first. I have to say, I was very impressed. Walmart is huge and has everything, even Jay Chou and Utada Hikaru cds.

Walmart also has produce and...


bubbles! For cheap too ($2 for a pack of 6). We've always talked about photographing bubbles. You can say we couldn't pass up on the opportunity. I bought a pack and we headed over to the local park.

Bbq @ Tri's

Pure male ingenuity. Quite McGyver-esque, isn't it? Surprisingly enough, this grill is an improvement from the last bbq we had.


Tri's dodgey chair in lomo. I think the lomo effect enhances its ominousness. Sit at your own risk.


This picture did not come out the way I wanted to. I'm not too happy with the placement of the lemon, but I think the curves are pretty cool.

Grandma's Birthday

Celebrated Grandma's birthday yesterday evening. I've never kept track of how old she is. She's pretty ancient, I think.

Mother's Day

In celebration of Mother's Day we had a gathering at Uncle B's house. He sure has funky decor.

Arcadia Arboretum

Went to the Arcadia Arboretum earlier today. It was as I remembered it; boring! I think... I dislike the outdoors, haha. I suppose I should have made the best of it but I was hot, tired, and had a headache. Tri seemed to enjoy himself. Here are a few shots.
